Stephen Potts

Stephen has lived and worked across East Sussex and Kent for almost thirty years, and has lived in Heathfield since 2017.  He was the Reform candidate for the Horam and Punnetts Town ward in the Wealden DC elections earlier in 2025, narrowly missing out on taking the seat from the incumbent Green Party.

Stephen’s career has been spent in various roles in Financial Services, starting his career as a Bank Manager specialising in agriculture and manufacturing.  Latterly he has specialised in roles focussing on anti-money laundering and fighting financial crime.

Stephen joined Reform as he is, like many of us, disillusioned with the two party system which has failed Britain for decades.  At a national level, he is concerned about unfettered immigration into the U.K. and the social and financial problems it brings. 

Locally, Stephen wants better services for Sussex Weald, more control of spending and more accountability and transparency for residents over how their council tax is spent.
